About Us

Sheryl Olsen
Sheryl Olsen serves as the Board Chair of the International Ministry of
Jesus (IMOJ). She and her husband Thomas first traveled to Ecuador with
their granddaughter in 2014, where she met Tom and Joan Beak, founders
of IMOJ. On a subsequent trip, Joan invited her to serve as Secretary-
Treasurer a role she held from 2015 until becoming Board Chair in 2025.
Professionally, Sheryl was general partner in a commercial real estate
investment company, an experience that continues to strengthen her
service in ministry. She and Thomas live in Birmingham, Alabama, and are
blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Sheryl’s passion is serving, teaching, and mentoring women in God’s Word.
She is a Gideon speaker and currently serves as VP of the local Gideon
Camp.

George Terry
George is an IMOJ board member. He is a graduate of Columbia International University (B.A., 1984), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv, 1986) and Reformed Theological Seminary (DMin, 2000). He earned his PhD in the World Christian Movement from SWBTS (2016). He served in church planting in Florida before joining the International Mission Board to work in church planting and in theological education in Indonesia and Malaysia for 27 years. He now serves as Mobilization and Outreach Pastor with Bayou City Fellowship in Houston, Texas.

Anne-Marie Touliatos
Anne-Marie is the Director of International Ministry of Jesus in Tanzania. Born of missionary parents, God called her to faith and missions at a young age. She is married to John Touliatos and lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Together they have three adult children. Anne-Marie is a graduate of Samford University. She is a nurse by trade. In 2015 she was asked by Joan Beak to be the Director of IMOJ where she served until 2025. Anne-Marie is passionate about God, her family and friends, missions and disciple-making. Anne-Marie’s other interests include caring for animals, enjoying the outdoors, and learning how to manage a farm. She is thankful to be able to do all these things “through Christ who strengthens me.”

Carla Little
Carla Little has been an IMOJ Board member since 2018 and currently serves as the Director of Ecuador. Carla and her husband, Terry, have been married for 50 years. They have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Carla serves as mission chairman of her church. She has a bachelor’s degree in education and a masters degree in Intercultural missions. She retired in 2021 after 45 years of teaching middle and high school students. God called her to the mission field in 2006 when she was on a mission trip to Costa Rica. In 2009 God called her to Ecuador. Since then she has taken more than 30 teams to work with the people of Ecuador. Carla and her family are a “family on mission” and she feels blessed that God continues to lead her and allow her to share His love through her church and IMOJ. She will say that she has a “piece of her heart” in Ecuador where her love for missions began.

Scott Bickel
joined the IMOJ board in 2025. He is married to Nanette and lives in Birmingham, Alabama, they have four children. He is currently Professor of Physical Therapy, Associate Dean in the School of Health Professions and Director of the Office for Faith and Health in the College of Health Sciences at Samford University. He learned of IMOJ when he and his oldest son traveled to Ecuador in 2014. Students from the School of Health Professions have been traveling to Ecuador annually since 2017. Scott has spent significant time abroad teaching and training rehabilitation professionals. Part of his professional role at Samford is to encourage students to explore avenues to integrate their faith with their work and to be engaged in both local and global service. He has been a member of the Church at Brook Hills since 2006.

Craig and Devie Harrison
Devie and her husband, Craig, joined IMOJ on a mission trip to Tanzania in June 2024, where they had the opportunity to teach the Bible to the Massai people. Deeply moved by the work God is doing there, they returned just a few months later on the next mission trip in September.
Professionally, Devie works in corporate finance and begin serving on the board as Secretary/Treasurer in October of 2024. She and Craig live in Magnolia Texas and are blessed with two children and five grandchildren.
Devie‘s greatest passion is studying and teaching God‘s Word. With more than 24 years of experience as a Bible teacher, she loves helping others grow in their understanding of scripture and in their relationship with Christ.

Kimberly Martindale
Kimberly and Trey joined IMOJ on the first mission trip to Tanzania in November 2022. They participated in the very first well dedication and the 1st showing of the Jesus Film in Alisipa where 100s of Massai made professions of faith. They fell in love with the people and felt God’s invitation to get involved in His Kingdom work there. Trey has been very involved in helping to produce media for IMOJ. Kim built this IMOJ website and has served in the area of logistics for mission teams from the US. She is also deeply committed to discipleship and intercessory prayer with and for the Massai. She serves on the IMOJ Tanzania Leadership Committee.
Trey and Kim attend OneChurch Calvary in Murfreesboro, TN. They have two daughters. Trey is the Associate Vice Provost for Online Learning at Middle Tennessee State University. Kim is a Holistic Health Practitioner who also leads Bible Studies, ReGeneration through her church, and intercessory prayer groups. Her heart and passion is to connect women deeply to God and to one another through intentional, spirit filled and biblically grounded communities.
